Kevo – Password & Card Vault - Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

This policy describes how Kevo ("the app," "we," "our") handles information when you use it on your Android device. It applies to everyone who installs the app.

What information the app stores

Kevo is designed to store sensitive financial information you choose to enter, such as bank account details, card numbers, PINs, identification numbers, passwords, and notes you create yourself.

This information is:

• Encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before it is written to storage.
• Protected by a master password that we never see and never store - only a cryptographic verification token derived from it is kept, which cannot be used to reconstruct your password.
• Stored exclusively in a local database on your device, inside the app's private storage area, which other apps cannot access.

What we do not do

Because Kevo does not request the Android INTERNET permission, the app has no technical ability to transmit data over a network, under any circumstance. As a direct result:

• We do not collect your data on any server, because we do not operate one for this app.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party, because it never reaches us.
• We do not sync your vault to any cloud service automatically.
• Crash logs, if any occur, are written only to a local file on your device for your own troubleshooting and are never uploaded anywhere.

Data deletion

You are always in control of your data. You can delete individual records, sections, or your entire vault at any time from within the app. Because everything is stored locally, deleting the app itself (uninstalling it) permanently removes all associated data from your device, unless a backup file was separately saved elsewhere by you.

Children's privacy

Kevo is not directed at children and is not designed to knowingly collect information from children, consistent with the fact that it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes - for example, if a future version of the app adds an optional feature that changes how data is handled - we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
